Our Purpose

Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence. This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: Love others as well as you love yourself.

Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you.

We believe in being balanced and focused in the way that we do things around here at New Life. As a result, we have established a purpose statement that guides every aspect of our church, from which ministries we pursue to how we spend our money. It is a statement of both what we do and why we do it.

Our purpose is to develop full-fledged followers of Christ who:

• Express their love for God
• Bond with other believers
• Grow in knowledge of and obedience to God
• Serve others with their God-given gifts
• Share God's truth in their community

These ideas are not new to New Life or any other church for that matter. They are what the Bible teaches as the essential components of life. They are why we were made and why we are here on earth—and why New Life exists.
